Terms of Use
Welcome to my graphics site. Before using any of the graphics located here, please read and understand the following:
• The desktop pictures (wallpapers) are copyrighted. You may not claim these works as your own, nor may you redistribute them for any reason. You may not post them on any other website. They are not free. Some of them may be available as prints at either my DeviantArt account or my Zazzle account. If you are interested in using my artwork on your website as backgrounds or banners, etc., please contact me and we'll work something out. I do take commissions.
• The graphic sets (web sets and/or background tiles) are linkware-- that is, they're free to use on your personal, nonprofit webpages in exchange for a link back to my site. A logo button is provided with every Web Set, at the bottom of this page, and at the bottom of each page on my site for this purpose. They should be linked to http://www.owlinthemirror.com on every page where my graphics are used. By 'linkware,' I do not mean that you may hotlink them.
• What is hotlinking (also known as bandwidth theft)? Hotlinking or bandwidth theft is direct linking to a web site's files (images, text, video, etc.). For example, using an < img > tag to display a .jpg or .gif image from someone else's site so that it appears on your own site, blog, forum, or etc.
• Under no uncertain terms are any materials from this site to be used on any sites that are pornographic or offensive to others.
• If you are a commercial business, or are developing websites for others in any way, these graphics may not be used for free. Please contact me to arrange for a license. I'm very affordable!
• All images displayed on this site are my own work or that of my husband unless explicitly stated otherwise. Any resemblance to any thing or any one is strictly coincidental. All images are copyrighted to me and remain mine. You may not edit or alter them in any way whatsoever except to add text to the blank buttons in the web sets provided for that purpose. That means that none of the elements may be lifted and inserted into your own art.
• Customization is available upon request for a small fee. If you need extra buttons, headers, banners, or additional navigational elements, just email me with the information you need.
• None of the graphics on any of the pages of this website may be resold or redistributed in any way, nor added to any collection or any archive. Please do not attempt to claim my hard work as your own.
• If you use my graphics, you must copy them to your own computer and upload them to your own server. Not doing so may result in broken links all over your site. Bandwidth stealing is b-a-a-a-a-a-a-d!
